Dr. Alvina Driscoll, MD is a Fellow of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been practicing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa since 1994 and is currently accepting new patients.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Medical Degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. Residency was also completed at the University of Iowa.
As a gynecologist she performs annual examinations and routine health maintenance as well as treating women with complicated disorders and diseases of female reproductive system from teenagers to mature women. Dr. Driscoll is well versed in both medical and surgical treatments. Minimally invasive surgery is performed including laparoscopic, robotic and vaginal approaches. She is a member of AAGL, an organization promoting minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Driscoll is also active in the medical community in Cedar Rapids, having been on many committees, striving for improved patient care and currently is the Medical Director of Mercy Birthplace.
When not working, she enjoys seeing “dog pals” along her frequent walks or runs, hanging with her family, chatting with friends for dinner or coffee, playing piano and has recently picked up a guitar to strum.
