Lisa J. Hess, M.D., F.A.C.O.G
Lisa J. HessDr. Hess received her M.D. degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in June of 1996. Her four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2000, following earlier resident work at Indiana University. Dr. Hess has additional background in nuclear medicine and cell biology. Dr. Hess has practiced in Cedar Rapids since August of 2000 and was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002.

 

Jane A. Lyons, D.O., F.A.C.O.G
Jane A. LyonsDr. Lyons earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Maine. She completed her Osteopathic rotating internship at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital, and her residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester. Dr. Lyons' clinical experience comes from a variety of settings, including Boston City Hospital, American Medical Student Association's (AMSA) International Health Program in Nigeria, AMSA's Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program in Michigan, Harbor Women's Health in New Hampshire, Western Mass OB/GYN in Holyoke, Massachusetts and Baystate OB/GYN Group, Inc., Springfield, Massachusetts. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998.

Owen M. McCarron, M.D., F.A.C.O.G
Owen M. McCarronDr. McCarron has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Prior to receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Dr. McCarron was an engineer with Boeing in Seattle. Dr. McCarron completed his OB-GYN residency at the University of Iowa in June of 1997. He was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999.

Linda A. PetersenLinda graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree from the University of Iowa in 1982 and earned her Master of Nursing Science Degree from the University of Iowa in 2001. She then earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2004. Prior to joining OB-GYN Associates, P.C. in 2006, Linda held positions of Staff Nurse, Nurse Clinician, Advanced Practice Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist and Registered Nurse Practitioner. Linda is also well published specific to topics in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Johanna J. AbernathyDr. Abernathy graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1975. She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa, completed in 1979. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. Dr. Abernathy also serves as Medical Director for OB-GYN Associates, P.C. and Cosmetic Solutions Laser and Skin Care Clinic.

He did his internship at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan in '71-'72 and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Portsmouth Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, from 1973 to 1976. He has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1980.

Prior to joining OB GYN Associates, P.C. , Dr. Bemus spent three years in private practice in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls area. Dr. Driscoll completed her four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Iowa in 1994. She has practiced in Cedar Rapids since 1994. Dr. Driscoll was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996 and is a member of AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists), "the premiere professional organization advancing minimally invasive gynecology worldwide." In December '07 Dr. Driscoll was recognized by St. Luke's Hospital as a "Physician of Excellence."

She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington in 1994. Dr. Olson served as Chief of Clinic and Service Chief for OB-GYN at Ft. Riley, Kansas. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996.

Jerry L. RoseboomDr. Rozeboom graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1983. His residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah Medical Center was completed in 1987. He was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989. Dr. Rozeboom currently serves as the Director of Ultra Sound and Radiological Imaging for the practice and is a member of Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide (AAGL).

 

 

Sunny H. Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.O.G
Sunny H. ZhangDr. Zhang earned her M.D. degree at Beijing Medical University in 1989. She then entered the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Cornell University. Dr. Zhang earned her Ph. D. in Pathology at the University of North Carolina in April of 1994, followed by work as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the same University. Her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the University of Iowa prior to joining our group in July 2000. Dr. Zhang has a concentration in reproductive endocrinology (infertility) but also does general obstetrics and gynecology. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002.

 

Elizabeth M. Bussewitz, M.D.
Elizabeth M. Bussewitz, M.D. Dr. Bussewitz earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering with distinction from the University Of Iowa College Of Engineering and her Medical Degree from the University Of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine. Dr. Bussewitz completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio in June 2011.


 

 

Linda L. McAdam, ARNP
Linda L. McAdamLinda earned her Registered Nursing Degree from the St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She then earned her certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in 1995 following her graduation from Family Planning Council of Iowa at Drake University. Prior to joining our practice in 1996, Linda worked primarily in the areas of Labor and Delivery and Family Planning and Obstetrics.

 

 

 

Jeanna Panosh, ARNP
Linda L. McAdamJeanna received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and General Science and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Coe College and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She was certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in July 2010. Prior to her certification as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Jeanna was a Registered Nurse at the Birth Care Center at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids for the past five plus years.

 

 

Terrie J. Frieden, ARNP
Terrie J. FriedenTerrie earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 1989. She then received her certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in 1997 following her graduation from the Family Planning Council of Iowa at Drake University. Terrie has extensive experience in women's health care in the positions of Staff Nurse and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, Terrie is well trained and experienced in various cosmetic procedures/applications and is currently practicing in our Cosmetic Solutions Laser and Skin Care Center.
